Central Links Golf

Central Links Golf has deep roots that they wanted to honor with perpetual trophies for their girls and women’s events. Many of the events date back before women were allowed at many courses on the national scale. Malcolm DeMille’s perpetual trophy trays provided a modern award with a traditional nod. For their Prairie Invitational a polished bronze casting of the tournament logo is filled with red epoxy, and sits in the spotlight at the center of a gadroon edge tray. The tray is set upon a cherry finished wood base that bears name plates for past and present champions. This year, Rachel Stous from Metro CC will be added to the esteemed trophy.
For the Kansas Women’s Amateur Championship perpetual trophy tray, Malcolm DeMille cast a bronze replica of the Kansas State flag. The fine details of the state seal’s pioneer life are beautifully captured and enhanced with antiquing, and centered in a deluxe handled tray. A 2-tier wood base offers acknowledgement of past champions dating back to the inaugural event in 1919. This year Kate Tilma made history becoming the first women to hold titles for both the Kansas Junior Amateur and Kansas Women’s Amateur Championship in the same year. The addition of Kate Tilma’s name will add to the legacy and honor of this brilliant perpetual trophy tray.
