CPKC Women's Open
August 6, 2024
Canadian Pacific Kansas City Women’s Open celebrated their 50th Anniversary this year. In honor of this milestone, Malcolm DeMille designed an exclusive money clip given to participants of the event.
In years prior, the money clips Malcolm DeMille made for CPKC Women’s Open included a ball-marker—an element so well received that it was included in this year’s commemorative money clip. This year’s design featured a mini replica of the tournament’s historic trophy cup cast in polished nickel with the year finished in a red epoxy and a magnetic register where the brass ball marker sits. The high-polished ball marker is highlighted with a red epoxy in the 50th Anniversary logo.
We are grateful to the CPKC Women’s Open Staff for the opportunity to continue to develop and build on the unique collection of money clips we have designed over the years. We cannot wait to see what is in store for 2025!
CPKC Women’s Open

The team at Malcolm Demille has crafted money clips for the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open since 2018. These exclusive designed money clips were given as a tee gift to participants and were so well received, that newly renamed Canadian Pacific Kansas City Women’s Open continues the tradition now.
The past money clips designed for the CP Women’s Open included embossed maple leaves offset by white and red epoxy (2018), followed by deeply embossed and antiqued maple leaves surrounding a brass ball marker featuring the event logo (2019), and when the tournament resumed after Covid-19 (2022), CP Women’s Open went all-in on a theme to represent their sponsor with a cleverly designed train engine money clip that also had a removeable ball marker.
This year, Canadian Pacific Railway merged with Kansas City Southern, thus changing the golf tournament to CPKC Women’s Open. When CPKC Women’s Open contacted Malcolm DeMille for this year’s money clip they wanted a nod to the merger with a captivating design that also highlighted the tournament logo. CPKC Women’s Open chose a design featuring the three flags (Mexico, United States, Canada) of the countries the railway now travels through. The flags are emphasized with bright epoxy to capture their colors and are set above a railway detail that encircles a brass ball marker featuring the new tournament logo in a rich red epoxy. The artisans at Malcolm DeMille take pride in their workmanship and make sure every money clip serves as a lasting memento for all the CPKC Women’s Open participants.
We are extremely thankful to the CPKC Women’s Open Staff and appreciate the trust in us to develop a unique collection of money clips over the years. We cannot wait to see what is instore for 2024!
