Valero Texas Open Volunteer of the Year
June 12, 2017
The Valero Texas Open started a tradition of recognizing an outstanding volunteer to receive the “Tom Mabe Volunteer of the Year” Award beginning in 2015. This special award is named after Tom Mabe a longtime volunteer who worked with players, fans, and officials for decades as a proud VTO volunteer. Each year the honoree is awarded a replica of the acclaimed Valero Texas Open Champions Trophy, a Texas shaped crystal with bronze golfer created by Malcolm DeMille. This award achieves a brilliant balance of modern and traditional elements that is sure to be a special memento for each award winner. Congratulations to Lisa Leong the 2017 “Tom Mabe Volunteer of the Year!”
